PETER ALAN CHASE
Peter is a composer, multi-instrumentalist, performing artist, and audio enthusiast based in Los Angeles. In 2023, Peter was selected to score the short film ‘Stronger’ while part of the Emerging Composers Program with Ghetto Film School. In 2025, Peter received accolades as a top performer in the Video Game Scoring Program led by Jason Graves through ELVTR. Peter has conducted and recorded cues at Los Angeles studios such as Remote Control, Sonic Fuel, East West Studios, and the Village. Peter has accompanied dozens of scoring sessions while working at Sony Post-Production Studios.
Peter grew up listening to his pianist mother play Mozart, Beethoven, and Chopin. He has been playing drums, guitar, bass, and piano since his youth and began writing and recording original material in his teenage years. Peter has studied orchestration, piano, drums, classical guitar, jazz, West African drum, Gamelan, acoustics, and other subjects. He also enjoys the spontaneity of live performance and improvisation, seeking to distill a sense of adventure and exploration in his music. Peter also enjoys experimenting with modular synthesis techniques to discover new forms of expression.
Originally from Lake Minnetonka, Minnesota, Peter holds a degree in Contemporary Music from College of Santa Fe and has completed various composing seminars from UCLA, Ghetto Film School, ELVTR, and The Screen Music Program. Mr. Chase is a member of the Society of Composers & Lyricists, Academy of Scoring Arts, and a performing guest at Figueroa Unanimous Radio. When Peter is not writing or playing music, he is surfing, listening to records and cassettes or catching old films at the theater.
